Tips For Undertaking This Work:

Make time to put into your relationship with your nieces and nephews. Don’t just be there when they may need you, being their in general builds the relationship so when they do need someone, you are the person they feel happy and confident to go to. This can be just every now and they seeing how they are, how school is going, how they are etc.

If we blink a year has gone by, so really putting time aside to talk to your nieces and nephews to build the relationship is so important. Even as little as 30 minutes a week helps.

Future Progression Or Developments:

Keep up to date with talking points on things they like. This is important to have common ground that generates conversation which builds the relationship.

Advice and Thoughts

Just keep building on the relationship little by little to become visible to your nieces and nephew. So they know no matter where you are (geographically) you are always there for them.Day 2 Day

Sometimes I don’t have enough time to give all I want to this role, so it can be challenging to time manage this along with my other work/life duties.

Not Applicable. Being an auntie is blessing.  It  is something you do not choose for yourself as such.  But how active you are, what you put into the role and get out of it is ultimately up to you.
